So a little update

Decided to go down same route as j7 and did that guiltiest offer with the free diago commuter. It's the cheapest price by far, plus I miss having a mag delivered to my door. You can't take the ipad in a bath like you can with a mag

For power, I thinking diago micro power should be fine as I'm using a handful of low power pedals nothing digi-crazy.

Current pedals I've been using is still my salt boost, polytune and phase 45. With the commuter I have room to stick the wah on when I feel like it. Still thinking wether to stick delay on or not, still need to upgrade the delay as well.

I would avoid buying a Diago Power Supply and go for something cheaper. I had the old Power Station (£70) and the cable that goes from the power unit to the pedal split right at the point where the cable goes into the power unit. I contacted Diago, and the guy that owns the company said he could fix it. It came back with a piece of heat shrink over the cable but not over the part where it had split - i.e. not fixing it at all. I gave up and bought 2 Johnny Shreadfreak power supplies, 1 as a spare. I've used one of them for about 3 or 4 years with no issue, so i've not had to use the 2nd yet.

Also, the bag for my Diago Commuter Board split where the handles meet the bag. It's currently with the Diago guy to mend, as it was a 'free' gift it's not included under the normal guarantee so I couldn't get a replacement - but he said he would try and fix it for me for free, so i'll be interested to see what he does.

wish shredfreak still had his supplies, they were ideal. i had one which died but didn't get round to sorting it out. any suggestions for alternatives.

is the actual pedalboard ok? have i made a big mistake?

also have you got a pic of your loaded commuter j7?

seriously, people need to start grabbing those joyo pedal power ones. mines absolutely bob on. not had a single issue with it and its been properly gigged

all i can tell you is i was running 10 pedals on a big board (im not a tone freak person at all btw) but i was getting some buzz.

changed to the joyo and now nothing. ive had it for well over a year now and i gig lots its easily done well over 100 gigs and not a single problem. the plug that comes with it is international but once youve sorted that youre fine

edit: think i mentioned it before but i grabbed mine off ebay and they had it on "make an offer" im sure i only offered £40 and it was accepted. free delivery but long wait time. although it was advertised at sale. it arrived on the first estimated day. just my two penneth anyways

The pedalboard itself is fine, and that bag probably will be too if you're not carrying it around much.

I never seem to be in the right place at the right time for these bargains on the 'bay, but I'm really intrigued about the Joyo supply. After several years of using the Diago, I've come to the realisation that I really need an isolated supply. The very pedals that need it to eliminate clock noise - namely my RE-20 and every EHX reverb ever - draw too much current for the isolator adaptor (which isn't much cheaper than a Boss PSA- or other one-spot- type supply anyway).

What the maximum current draw for each of the 9V sockets on the Joyo? What cables (if any) are supplied to connect your pedals to the supply? The official site doesn't seem to list the detailed specs for some reason. Maybe that's why it's not as popular as it perhaps ought to be.

oooh im afraid i dont have a clue! haha theres enough cables to use every output on it. tbh i chucked it on the board as soon as i got it and i havent looked at it at all since! i bought it purely coz it was a cheap, sturdy looking alternative and its been great. if it broke tomorow i couldnt be happier with hows its been

Nice, good to see you're still using the Phase 45.

I got my bag back from Diago, he's done a good job of fixing it too - plus he sent me some goodies, 3 different power adaptors and a patch cable made of his solderless patch cable jacks.

i love the 45, been copping uni-vibe/strat combos with it. great for trower/gilmour. on faster speeds it's my faux leslie.

think i might have to change my patch cables as there not that flexible. thinking of getting either george l's or that diago kit.

So I've had to return the diago micropower that I brought to go with the commuter. It's the noisiest power supply I've ever used. At gig levels it's has a loud whining noise and hum. My old maplins power supply is dead quiet if a little battered. Very disappointed on the micropower, the size was perfect. Love the commuter though its well swish.

So the old faithful supply is back on. Might splurge on a joyo voodoo labs clone supply, though now broke after buying a new car.

Oh that's a shame you had a problem with the diago powersupply, my friend's has been flawless. Maybe you were just unlucky/maybe he was lucky.

I would of been happy with an exchange, but they only offered the refund option.
My shredfreak one had a similar problem.
