just gon throw this out there...

Found a 1966 MM...finish is toast...used to be white...looks more like a ciggie butt now.
Neck also 66...better shape than body. Orig neckplate too.
$447US

I'm in debate...wanna maybe go for it...but not at $447US.
That's just shy of $600 up here in Canada.
That and I paid $450CND for the 65/66 that I just got.
And mine's in waaaay better shape.
Think offering him $300-350 is being a complete asshole to him?

Well. It's on:)
I pick up my 66 Musicmaster neck/body/bridge in Oct...hooray.
It was stripped of it's finish, and clear coated...so she'll be a good refinish candidate
All being well and good, the 65/66 Mustang should be finished by then.

When I was hunting for the parts for the Mustang, I happened across a MM/Mustang guard that was cut for the bridge pickup only.
Thought it was quirky so I grabbed it. I think it will go on the Musicmaster. Broncomaster? Is that a thing here?

Ad pics of '66MM...apologies, there's a full neck shot, but it's horrible...the photo, not the neck.

What to do with her...hmmm.
What would some of you do?
Please bear in mind my first thought is to restore.
My second to leave as is...just fix up any real issues, and that's it.
Could do paint...might. But my inner 1980's skid rocker skateboarding child kicked in.
Thinking old stickers...nice ones. Not just whatever.
Thoughts?

I'm assuming by alt you mean like an "online funny" or a meme and whatnot?

Yeah, it's a pun on a thing I've heard of called getting "Rick-rolled".lol

Robroe'd...it's good I think.
Robroe...you out there...what do you think?

By "alt" I meant are you actually a longtime forum member posing as a newbie using an alternate ID? Totally a joke... you just picked up on Robroe's personality very quickly :D

I'm a n00b here, but I've looked around the forum before:)
Been an offset member for a little while.

It's exciting to have found a coupla girls to save.
I don't like seeing old guitars stripped for parts.
The tuners for this stripped MM sold a few weeks maybe a month ago.
What's in the pictures is all that's left of her. And they were being sold separate too.
I only saw her a few days ago now.

Unfortunately there's not a whole lot of action just yet. But soon I hope:)

The blue MM body is almost to the trader, and then the black one will be sent back.
I'm hopeful for end of next week, but I'm not holding my breath.

The stripped one will sit away at the store it was for sale at until Oct when I go to pick it up.
What's that Petty song...the waiting is the hardest part:)

Hi everyone,

First off Happy Thanksgiving from Canada.

Second off...I let the knackered Musicmaster in Florida go.

That being said the Mustang is mostly finished. I will post photos as soon as my iPad gets back from repair.
It took a dive off the monitor a few weeks ago, and I hadn't gotten around to it until a few days ago.

The Mustang is awesome...but I'd still like to find some original pickups for it.
Right now she has an Area61 in the neck, and an Area67 in the bridge.

Cheers...photos soon. Promise. :D

Musiclander, but that didn't make it to the headstock. There are many with just "Fender" and no model name though.

Yess...thank you Fakir. I thought I was suffering serious burn out...I remembered it being called something other than Swinger at one point or another.

Good on ya. :D
