I think Irish/Scottish/Liverpool accents all have similar roots, and all have hard A's, but I'm not sure.
I'd say so, I reckon the amount of immigration between Ireland and liverpool has shaped the accent... it's totally different to the Manc accent and yet only a few mile away...

Back at the ranch: Vid nicely executed!
What a time for me to misplace my capo...I've been in another Johnny Marr mood for a while now and am at a loss for words (and tones).

Aye, that and the migrant workers thing going on between the North of Ireland and Scotland.

I know! His accent is fucking shocking, it's like he learned it by watching 70s british sitcoms.
FAKE AS SHIT.

You can sure separate the ignorant Americans from the British here can't you. How his accent sounds even slightly fake is beyond me...

I know Progrockabuse has already made a request for some trex tones....
so that should be the next thing on the list but if anyones up for doing a coupleatones....
1979 by the Smashinhg Pumpkins would be my request if this is the place for that!

I'm sure people will be able to come up with these, not me necessarily, I don't have the necessary modulation available for 1979 I doubt but I'll see what I can do.

any ideas mike?
have you tried just overdriving your amp a bit?

a little, the tweed gets very loud very quickly and has no master volume. so it's a little difficult.
i think benecol was on the right lines, i know bolan was a transistor amp user.

He used all sorts of odd gear, amp-wise, including H/H solid state amps (ace link
here) and a picture for NickS:
I'm good ta, am loving the Dano, goes great with my fuzzes due to its low output pickups. Was blaring it through my Behringer Superfuzz thing earlier on, actually. Ace pedal too.

have you started your secret plan to convert it yet?
i've just rebuilt my board again to include my tremolo pedal thanks to mike. the capo is now pinned to the 2nd fret permanently lol
you do realize that nicks will knock one out over that photo, he loves H&H a hell of a lot.
we'll have to meet up again soon benecol.

That secret "one baritone to rule them all" plan fell flat the next day when I counted the frets: the neck on my 63 isn't compatible with the 59 body. Never mind. I'm guessing NickS will have seen that pic before; the cruel irony is that a very similar head is sat in my garage waiting for him (sadly without a Rangemaster on top), but like a fool I forgot to take it to my dad's (approximately 5 miles from NickS's house - you know, the one with the backlit green windows) a couple of weekends ago. Still feeling slightly guilty about that one...

i was just asking this question on another forum before i found this one.
whats the difference between reverse reverb and reverse gated reverb?

I maded an example using reason.
Dry sound followed by reverse reverb followed by reverse gated reverb. You can see it just snips off the tail of the 'verb depending on your settings. It gets used alot in electronic music to make drums and stuff have a bit more impact.

take all your pedals and link them together, turn everything up all the way.... then put them in a box, plug your guitar straight into a distorted amp with reverb and you're done.

thanks!
i get it now.
i have a holier grail and the reverse gate caused me so much trouble i just gave up on it, and then the gate switch broke so i can only use reverb anyway
so for a more MBV sound would the reverse reverb or reverse gated reverb work better?
