My mate plays one of those (its orange). I have tried it a few times, it aint bad. Not a huge fan of the shape, and it has some awful looking tuners ha. But it sounds pretty good and is obviously a well made, solid guitar.

H8.
I prefer the original mexican run. I would totally grab that toro if i had the chance. My first real guitar was a toronado, I got it for $350 in like 2003?

Toronado is 24.75" scale. Same as a cyclone.

It's in the Shortscale section because that's where it belongs:
Talk about the original short scale guitars. Mustangs, Duo-Sonics, Musicmasters, Jaguars, Broncos, Jag-stang, Jagmaster, Super-Sonic, Cyclone, and Toronados.

its a shorter scale then fenders more popular models thus the reason its a short scale, not the shortest of the shortscales but a shortscale none-the-less

FYI:
if there are veteran posters (mike, james, bacchus) or any mods that have posted a couple times in a 3+ page thread, rest your little heart assured, it's in the right section.
EDIT:
HLYFKNSHTS FINBOY
that looks great. where did you find it?

Oh shit! That's awesome. The only thing I'd change is the color. That blue from the international series like that Tele Deluxe that gets posted once in a while would be amazing.

If that's the established criteria, so be it.
But it does seem a little whacked, by that standard virtually every Gibson and Gretsch electric (and others) is a "short scale", and maybe in total there are nearly as many of them around as there are 25.5" scale electrics. Making that scale not notably "short" relative to electric guitars generally, but really pretty typical, one of the two ubiquitously predominant scale length standards. To me, the term "short scale" should not denote a standard length, because that's well, a pretty normal scale. Rather the term "short" should refer to something, well, shorter than an industry standard, or one of the two at least.
So then, are we to talk about Les Pauls here too?
I don't think that's what most people have in mind here, but logically it would follow that Les Paul discussions should be posted here as well.

Alright, I considered it 24" and under.

Exactly, that's how I think of it as well.
But evidently the people who set this up felt otherwise.

It makes sense in that all other Fenders are full scale. Ie I wouldnt call a LP a shortscale.

An LP has the same scale length as a Cyclone. If one is short the other is short they are the same.
I guess if instead of the category description reading "Talk about the original short scale guitars", as it does now, it said instead "Talk about the original Fender short scale guitars", or the category heading was titled "Fender short scale guitars" rather than just "Short Scale guitars", then it would make sense. Because the Cyclone et al are short for Fender, but not particularly short as a general matter since other makers made tons of such gutars, it's just that Fender didn't. But as it stands now, it would seem the Les Paul posts should go here.

damn finboy, that's the first time I've ever really dug a toronado. looks incredibly badass. even with normal humbuckers I think that color combination would look good.
