I'm not good enough to do finishing for anyone! OrangePeel like a mutha!
You can do it yourself - it really is easy. And rewarding. I promise.

I'd be more than happy to share my limited knowledge!
My tips are mostly going to sound like:
"Oh, and be sure that you don't....."

Now that is so sweet. How long did it take you to finish it?

Start to finish, about a week.
I'm getting started on another project, which will be fun. '65 slab board MusicMaster neck, Warmoth Jag body, ReRanch orange finish, black guard w/ double black humbuckers, no upper controls, no lower switches, just a master volume, 3 way switch, and output jack on the lower plate. I'm just using up a bunch of parts I have lying around.

The last few touches brought it together nicely. Good work.

Thanks fellas! I was worried about taking it "too far" - but am glad that I did the recent relic work.
Be prepared for another round of Dice's Super Amateur Build Threads to pop up next week! My neck arrived today (and it is fantastic! '65 MM neck w/ very strong freshly leveled frets, in great shape) and all of my guts are gathered. Just waiting on the body, guard, and hardware - as soon as the body lands, I'll get started...

Could just be the angle of the photo. I just pulled out my '65, and they look to be the same. I suppose that whenever this '63 body was stripped and/or sanded, it may have been a bit heavy in the cutaway (that was done before I got it).

When I was reading the test post about the relic'ing was I like "Oh Noes" but then I saw your final result and I think it's on the tasteful side, I think it looks good.

Thanks. I was pretty nervous about doing it. BUT, I hadn't filled any of the body dings before I did the finish, etc., so it did look a bit odd with the dips here and there.
My next project won't be relic'ed, and I'm somewhat nervous about trying to make it actually look good. This one had a bit a couple of runs which I basically cut off and replaced with a ding, stuff like that.
