You are a genius of fixing guitars. Seriously. I never thought this guitar would ever turn out as awesome as you have already made it, and I'm sure there's just even more awesomeness to come!

You'll not get any argument over white with the mint guard from me, though these guitars look amazing white with 0ne-ply white guards, too:

Great work. The horns look really nice. Also, thanks for the info on the truss rod cover. I need to make a cover for a Hi-Flier neck and was wondering how to shape it. I can't wait to see this project painted and wired up. Excellent save.

Wow that is a LOOKER! See I never would have thought that would work, but it probably as close to perfect as can be.

I really like the look of this one. Especially the black around the pickups. It makes the guitar look like something out of a comic book. Very cool.

yeah, those pickups painted like that is pretty baller.

yeah, I love that offset guy's guitar. someone pointed out that it looks similar to the john squire custom jobber. I had been considering painting the electra I just got from portugalwillie similarly. black or a cream or something. the solid colors just add a whole new level of class to these guitars.

Mini update. I cut the single coil slots today. I got a template from Stewmac.com. First, I made one free hand and it was good, but I thought for not too much money I could get a really nice one. The template was fine and worked well, but I wish it was about 1 mm smaller in the width and length of the hole. That said, I am sure they make it a little big because the variability of sizes of pickups.

I have the GFS Brighton Rock pups. Very sexy looking and nice build. They supplied the height adjustment screws but they were off. They were tapered instead of flat cut on the back of the screw head. Also the screw head had a very big diameter. So much so that it would touch the pickup itself. And the screw itself was a size bigger than is normally is for fender style single coils and was binding in the pickguard. I took some off of a set of old single coils I had sitting around. Problem solved. But I though this was odd.

Here are some pics. I eye-balled knob placement. If I am doing it wrong let me know. I will also have a 3-way switch and an on-on switch located similar to other guitars of this sort.

NICE. those brighton rock p'ups look way cool. perfect for this guitar too.

I really love the look of those pickups in there! The knobs look like they're in the right place, but just make sure that they line up with the control cavity underneath. I would probably place pots and the jack in the cavity where you want them and mark where they hit the bottom of the pickguard

Yep, I did a trace of the cavity and taped it to the pick guard. I even went out and got mini pots just incase. There is not a lot of room for error.

Stunning work Cur - easily the most interesting project thread for a long old time and what a cool looking guitar this is going to be! Quite jealous!
