Really? Hmm. I don't know. I always enjoyed all my JBs. Great sound from them. I actually didn't like my super distortion lol. It was extremely noisy and not good for cleans at all (yes I know it's not made for cleans) but I like something versatile.

I do actually agree, the JB in the bridge is a fantastic sounding pickup. Has balls to it while still having a bit of sparkle. I have one in my Musicmaster and I'm putting one into my Supersonic II.

Me too, great pickup. It's all preference.
I keep trying to tell people to give the Cool Rails a go when they only have a single coils sized slot but no one ever listens.

But that isn't very Kurtz.
I will one day pick up a Kurt Jag, I spent a large portion of my teens just looking at pictures of it, and wishing my Jazzmaster was one.... least I can say I've been there and done it all then. Finally put it all to bed as it were. It's so cool and yet so sad & wrong... I kinda find it funny now. It's a great guitar though... but that's it, just a guitar... a tool.
These are probably the words to live by if you're a new found Nirvana kid.

I'm actually not a fan of JB's. I prefer a Dirty Fingers.

That's not even the finished version of that thing, I'm sure it was painted black sparkles.

And that when the Sun finally swallows the Earth, it STILL won't intonate.

Haha! First response I thought of when I saw this thread. Uh... I think he was in that band that Dave Grohl was in before the Foo Fighters?
Nah, I don't think I could ever shit on someone for Kurt-worship, since I was most definitely riding his dick during my early middle school/high school days, so-to-speak. Nirvana really opened the door to alternative music (to me) and inspired me to pick up the guitar. In retrospect was it a little silly? Yeah, probably. Did I need to collect all those live shows? No. (I ran/maintained Onemoresolo.net, btw) Did I enjoy it at the time? HELLS YEAH!!
The only thing I regret was trying to grow my hair out. I was a chubby dude trying to grow out curly hair. Bad combo.

Holy Shit! Talk about a weirdo!
Would be better if it were random lyrics and actually legible to produce some freaky word salad. It's what Kurt would have wanted.

Here's me in my Kurdtz phase, circa 2009. Doesn't every guitarist have this phase?
Shaggy hair and grotty jumper, innit.

Who cares about what other people obsess about on their own free time. My only question is why this is in the short scales forum and not in the pub?

I think the Anti-Kurt sentiments get a little ridiculous at times. Like it or not, were it not for Kurt, there's a greater chance that short scale and offset Fenders would be even rarer than they already are, so for whatever it's worth, I am glad that Kurt existed. Plus he's a great musician.
