Only with the humbuckers, for some reason, even with the software inputs wound all the way down. I guess I've got them set on the higher side, but I tried turning off both amp and speaker sims (so it's crummy DI-style) and it still remains, so I guess it's an impedance issue?
Same deal using the Ampkit Plug with the iRig Fender app.

I bought a 65 Princeton Reverb Reissue, but didn't make a big song and dance about it (comparatively speaking, of course - fairly sure I was still insufferably smug and kept mentioning it in every post I made for a fortnight or so) because it has/had (fingers crossed - picking it up from the tech on Monday night) some noise issues - the reverb hummed a bit at any setting above about 3. Fender countered with "they all do that" but: fuck you, Fender.

Also, I've also got a 15 watt squier amp that is fairly small (probably about a foot square and not too deep) and it's for sale at £15 quid. The posts are a bit crackly mind.

The lunchbox jr is a smaller version of the original lunchbox, it also has a built in 9v to power pedals so would be a perfect pedal testing amp!

The zit lunchbox junior looks cool
Has headphone, power out (though I obviously test with several supplies anyway) and looks small
I need to see if I can fit evidence it has a nice clean and takes pedals ok

Given that you can power the Marshall microstack off a daisy chain, that seems like the most space efficient approach if you're literally just testing pedal functionality seeing as you'll already be using said pedalpower.. plus it has a headphone out if you need to scope out the LOWZ a bit more than a 2" speaker can pump out.
No TOANMONSTER thought, was just playing around with my own MS-2.

Yeah, even with the buckers in my Ibanez, it stays clean.. even pushing the front end of the amp sounds good!

The amp or possible even the speaker distorts when you push the volume above half, but it's pretty loud by this point, so don't imagine that'd be a concern. And it's actually a very nice sounding clipping

Not trying to be an @ss here or doubting too much but is the MS2 really good enough for it's purpose ? Is it just to hear if the pedal is operating correctly or do you need to distinguish quality / variety from different pedals you are throwing through it. To me it's more of a toy and a bit of fun, not being snobbish.
I'd at least go Roland Micro Cube... perhaps.
Regarding the Micro Terror.... I assumed your desk space may be cluttered but and you could have the cab down underneath the desk or something. Hard to envisage what you're up against but If the mustang is too big I guess that'll still be an issue. Sorry about that.
My money would still be on the ZT Lunchbox Junior, I think it'd be ideal if you're happy to sacrifice a little money. I swear the amp I linked was to an actual demo though.... phaaa.

Did you watch Andy's video? It sounds great.
Cubes are modelling amps - terrible with pedals often, like really bad
My mustang I was only ok with the tech 21 Sans Amp clone in line and that trick doesn't work with all modelling amps
A simple solid state amp sounds like the ticket to me through headphones
