ok. i don't NEED any more stuff, but since i've come to the conclusion that i'll never own a vintage jag, i'd really like a candy apple red MIM one. i played one recently and it was sweet as fuck. the necks are so much easier to handle than the horrid square japanese ones.

yeah the mim is fucking awesome i'll have to do a demo and post it up on here if you have the money then a thin skin is a cool option cause of the same neck radius.

thinskins cost almost as much as vintages in the UK, i just can't justify that much money for what would essentially be a vanity purchase.

im never going to buy vintage personally i'll just have my mim a few squiers and other shit.
if any fender it'll just be a project made by me (XII and JAzzmaster)

you're talking £15-1600 and upwards for something that hasn't been routed or refinished. and that's the cheap end. 60s jags can go well over 2k, and if you convert that into dollars you'll get an idea.
mustangs and duo-sonics generally go for about half that (£800 or so).

I wish my CIJ neck was more square... Companies try to generalize, but it seems that neck profiles within model groupings even fall within a certain range rather than exhibit any sort of exactness. i've played CIJ jags, jazzmasters and mustangs fairly recently and didn't get on with any of them. the necks just feel odd to me. it's maybe just what i'm used to with older guitars. in fact, no, i played the jag & jazzmaster before i had any vintage fenders and i still didn't like them.

My Mustang's 66 neck is perfect... Very flat-backed, a bit on the narrow side, not to mention the softness of the (I think) Brazilian Rosewood, and super low, wide frets.
The Jag's neck is more rounded toward the back, a bit deeper, not as in love with it but I suppose I am used to it at least, as I've had that guitar for a while...

no more fenders for me though that mim really kicked me in the nuts financially.
last year i bought/Already had
Peavey Transtube
epi les paul (neck broke)
teisco sg (modded selling to friend)
dimebag darrell crybaby wahwah selling hopefully tommorrow.
and a fender mim jaguar which i will be buryed with.
this year im hoping for:
Fender Twin (leaning towards cybertwin)
Squier Cv's 50's tele and duo 50's and 60's pbass
big muff which i hopefully will buy tomorrow
and a shit load of other pedals and shit
also i want to build my XII and Jazzmaster
im not even expecting to buy half of this shit really just ideas on what to buy
on subject why dont you just buy the cv duo haze??
