Updated pictures from clear coating just now. Half way point. Two more cans of clear to go on this body and then it can dry.

I missed my chance to get a J Mascis Jazzmaster in purple sparkle so this is my take on it hopefully in blue sparkle (think Super-Sonic). I am carving the neck profile down to match my Fender Coronado II neck. I also has an Oversized Headstock.

What neck is slated for the Jag-stang?

This one is getting the vintage Musicmaster neck. The Fiesta one has a Jaguar neck on it.

No neck stamp, but I hear early 70's because Musicmaster is one word on it.

My 72 Musicmaster neck still had the old date stamping and had the words "Music Master" as two words. I am guessing yours is a few years later. 1975 is when I believe Musicmaster was one word again.

Your decal looks much better than mine did. My decal looks like the cheap Squiers do where they paint them on. There was tape on mine when I got it and I had to sand it off. All the finish was gone on my neck as well.

It is in pretty good shape for being as old as it is. :)

Should be adding my last clear coat today. (Hopefully.) Then it is hang dry time.... :) Waiting is hard.

Body is in the house drying now. Looks good! Just need to wait for it to cure before I can wet sand.

Now the dreaded waiting game. It will be worth the wait.
