good gibsons are very good. bad gibsons are atrocious.

thing with fender is that they only seem to have squier the gets some degree of creative freedom. fender usa will continue to churn out increasingly expensive strats from increasingly cheaper parts/labour, and each year will announce their "best standard model evar". balls. it will still sound like a fender, and nothing will make it any better than the strat i got when i was 13 years old.

dicks will still buy the mia clapton model. yet another relic line is just flogging a dead horse, and confusing the nervous twitches as another reason to add yet another line of guitars.

mate of mine works for fender - couple of years back they had to cull a load of models since every colour, bridge, pickup combination was just too much. looks like their heading back the same way though.. just let squier do interesting guitars please - P90 teles and things that the us workshop would recoil in horror with.

fuck it. want custom, buy warmoth and build it yourself.

ok, who the fuck puts that much wear on the highest 7 frets on a telecaster? or any guitar?

if you buy this guitar, you better play ONLY above the 12th fret, or your audience is gonna call poser on your ass.

and you better come up with some excuse for the chronic dick rubbing you've been doing to the upper bout everyday for the last 40 years.

WTFZ

Fords aren't relicced, though... They do sometimes seem that way straight out of the factory, however

It may be more tolerable if the relicing didn't look so fake. I think I can actually see the sandpaper marks on the neck. Plus, that's the model in the official photo, so you know the real one is gonna look worse.

It's like they've never even seen an old guitar.

not sure if thats genuine or replica. doesnt matter, thats closer to real. its like they played it with no strings for 500 years and then put strings on it and tried to make you like it but you were like "no."

If this happens I will have to put serious consideration into continuing to play guitar in public.
