the picking on memory lane is fantastic - what a song - shoulda been the new dylan.

and coast to coast with the spector esque production. great stuff
That's my current favourite album to listen to also. Some people will probably find it more challenging than the others but I adore it.

I'm glad I'm not alone. Elliot Smith is one of the few guys I can listen to for hours. I listened to 3 of his CDs, straight. I got into him again after seeing royal tennabaums, in the suicide seen with needle in the hay. Such an honest pure voice, sucks he died. Was is ruled suicide?

he was stabbed multiple times in the chest, is what i heard. doesnt seem like suicide, i cant imagine stabbing myself again in the chest, or even having the ability to after the initial stab.

plus, who stabs himself in the chest? a samurai, thats who. and those are the only people. c'mon.

Please stop posting about Elliott Smith.

He was stabbed twice in the chest. It is not unknown as a Suicide method. You can do it easily, you feel for the spaces between your ribs and go to town. Is it a particularly savage way to kill yourself? Yes. Is it common? No. Was Elliott Smith the type of person to talk about killing himself a lot? Yes. Is he the type of person to have examined all sorts of ways to do it? Yes.
