Managed to get a good deal with a guy i'd previously traded with.. £120 + a Boss PS5 that he'd sold me for £60 a few months ago.

Should I jump on that badboy?!

Was browsing through loads of different videos today, really like the gliss/hold feature and the whammy stuff (it comes with a footswitch too)

- Only thing is i've got about £80 to my name, until the 3rd October.. and have to buy hardcases for pedals/guitars and money for freshers week/car insurance. I'm going to be a POOR student!

They're like £289 new, and the preset controller (is that what you mean by footswitch?) is £80.

So £369 all in.

So I would go for it, personally, seems like a deal?

sorry, by footswitch i mean EXP.

I'd probably have to put off buying a footswitch for a good month or so. So i'm hoping it's not TOO difficult to change presets on the fly.

HCFX'd anyway :P

My friend has one and he loves it...but he uses it mostly for "organ" sounds, He had no idea the POG did the same thing for half the price.

This seems like a good deal, I'd jump on it.

The POG does a lot less than the HOG though.

The HOG is completely programmable. The POG2 is, but POG is not.
HOG has Expression input and shitloads of Expression modes. It's a complete Synth.
It has more voices and more effects.

EHX are making some really impressive stuff these days.

Unfortunately the chap who i'm dealing with decided he'd rather have the money, so i'm paying £180. Which is still a decent deal considering i'll still have a PS-5 as well.

Will flip the PS-5 most likely. I'm looking forward to this HUGE learning curve :)

Haha, yeah, it's quite big. Depending on what you actually want in terms of the effects, the Adrenalinn might be a half-decent competitor, but it's nowhere near as intuitive as the HOG. It does "more stuff" but not really at the same time. It is cheaper though.

Personally, I'd go for the HOG. If it had come out before the Adrenalinn, I'd have just waited and saved some extra pennies.

Didn't you say before that the Adrenalinn is no use for live stuff because there's some kind of delay between effects or some shit?

I'm terrible at converting money, but that should be about 280 USD, right? I believe the HOGs sell for close to 500 USD new, so I'd say that's a really good deal. I'd love a HOG, but just don't have the money for one.

I love my Hog. Managed to pick it up for about £200 from a friend of a friend and bought the patch pedal on eBay. Running this thing through a Big Muff is just pure liquid wonderment.

The M-Audio pedal that came with it is complete pash though, the foot plate hooks onto the mechanism and pops off at every given opportunity.

Going to try the Boss FV-500 soon which seems nice and chunky and metal.
