That's so freakin' cool! Reclaimed redwood? Wonder what that sounds like and how much it weighs. And how limited is the stock? I had no idea that buildings were ever built with redwood, nor that they tore down these historic buildings and hooked Fender up with first dibs on dumpster diving. Anyone have anymore info on this?

My grandparents' house is completely lined - walls and ceilings - with old-growth redwood. Thousands of board-feet, at least a couple inches thick. It was pretty popular back in the day.

That's really awesome. I hope it sells well enough to stay in production. Recycled and reused materials make me happy.
I wonder what the impact on the tone is. Lots of old acoustic instruments are thought to be better sounding because of the greater density of the wood used in making them.

Really nice. Love these reclaimed wood guitars. Creston have been making some beautiful barn beam Teles for a while. Probably about the same sort of price $$$$ http://www.crestonguitars.com/guitars

seen some ol' wood Jazzmaster replacement bodies on ebay. That stuff they float from the bottom of swamps, I wonder how heavy it is if it's been stunk to the bottom of the swamp for so long. Reclaimed lumber is cool, if you don't own a metal detector... use someone else tool's remember watching Norm (this old house) scan all his reclaimed stuff before he ran it through his planer.
