You can only order one item at a time, however. Pretty good deal if this is your gauge and brand.

It's funny; over the last few weeks I've had a hell of a time finding any UK retailer that had Boomers in stock; at least not in the .10 gauge that I use. That goes for the likes of Amazon and Stringsdirect...most odd. I'm not sure if I was just unlucky and they're now available again, but I started to wonder if there were manufacturing/distribution issues.

I do like Boomers though...nice and cheap.

I just bought six sets, and I know I'm going to kick myself later for not buying more.

Holy crap. These are my favorite short scale strings.

Just bought five sets. I might switch my long scales to these for a while, too.

In for one...I'm trying to move more towards heavier strings than 10's but I'll probably keep a guitar with them just to use these up. Not really given Boomers a fair shake, for $1 a set I can't afford not to.

Not available in my area. It's ok, I like 9's anyway.

I bought a case there last week. They weren't liquidating just yet, but they may not be carrying high end in retail locations.

Boomers, IMO, are better balanced and more flexible than D'Addarios of the same gauge. The numbers don't lie.

Boomers XL

E - 0.010 - 14.5 lb
B - 0.013 - 14.0 lb
G - 0.017 - 15.0 lb
D - 0.026 - 17.0 lb
A - 0.036 - 17.0 lb
E - 0.046 - 16.0 lb

D'Addario EXL110

E - 0.010 - 16.2 lb
B - 0.013 - 15.4 lb
G - 0.017 - 16.6 lb
D - 0.026 - 18.4 lb
A - 0.036 - 19.5 lb
E - 0.046 - 17.5 lb

You'd think this stuff doesn't matter but I think a balanced set is the key to maximizing your performance with a whammy system (certainly nothing to do with angling a Strat claw). D'Addario has a more balanced set (EXL111) which I find to be better, but regardless, I just find Boomers to be flexible, which means you can use heavier strings while not losing any playability.

That said, D'Addario is a tad bit brighter upon first install, but that balances out quick.

D'Addario's seems to loose their "new string" sound quicker. I like them the first couple days then they just go to shit. If i was touring and had a guitar tech replacing them every other day i'd be all about them... but unfortunately im a Cable Guy..

I always use DR Pure Blues if I have a choice. (considering the deal is gone this may as well just be a string thread now)

Everyone rags on Ernie Balls but i like 'em. They're cheap. They have sets in gauges that i like. They sound good for what I do.
